Been trying to rebuild my collection somewhat. Been looking at the classic anime collection box sets so I’m already making a list of series I want to purchase. I have always loved animated programs, and anime has ALWAYS been one of my favorite genres of animation. Granted, in the US we call the stuff from Japan Anime, while to them, it’s just plain old cartoons.

Been thinking on how things have come up in the general ebbing of interest in the EFO and DS communities of late. Fact is that Eva is still an old series, and new blood coming in is really non-existent. I’m still writing on mine, but my output is so minuscule it doesn’t matter at times. Some good fics on FFN have come up lately, and I’m trying to get more going.
So Here’s a question. When something like this happens what’s the best course of action do you think? I’m not one for closing up shop, never gonna be one for that. Still it be nice to find a way to bring new life to the sites and communities. I can’t say that I’ve made friends in any of them, but then again I don’t care for a lot of people myself. Personality conflicts to the extreme. i still try to troll FFN every now and again to get some new blood for the sites but obviously it does’t always work.
So the question becomes how best to revitalize a community after 10 years where the attention span seems to be measured in seconds.
Looks like ZeakStudios has been hard at work on a bunch of things. I’m honestly wondering if they are willing to work with me on a few ideas and if some folk on DS are alright with that.

Usually we use this spot for updating about the general site activity and updates. this time though there is a project that has come to my attention through Eric Blair I’d like to post up here.
A group of folk have decided to take fan-based work up a notch. Zeak Studios is producing an entire animation series based on the Re-take Evangelion dojinshi (sp). this is definatly something I hae never heard of in fan based art work of any kind and marks a nice little event in my opinion. Darkscribes.org and Evafics.org will have links posted to his site and hopfully he’ll have his first video out by May 23.
We’ll be supporting this project as best we can. They could use some voice actors, especially females. so if you want to aid these guys head over to his site and take a look. Also the associated youtube page is here.
