C.W.’s Beef Stew

2 lbs Stew Meet

2 Tbls Oil

2 Tbls Salt

1 Oz Sugar

1 Tbls Garlic powder

1/4 tbls tyme

1/4 Tbls basil

1/4 Tbls Rosemerry

1 Tbls flour

1 container Beef Broth

two chopped carrots

1 chopped onion

2 chopped potato

6 oz. Tomato Paste

Toss stew meat with seasonings and sugar the let sit no less then 2 hours. Allow meat to absorb flavor from the seasonings.

Brown the stew meat in the pan and let as much fluid build up as possible.

Add beef broth, tomato paste, sugar and vegetables once the meat is nice and seared. Turn down heat to medium/low and cover. Let sit on heat for 90 min then check. Add 1 tbsp flour to help thickening. Continue to cook slowly, checking and stiring over time. Cook stew no less then 2 hours, no more then 4.

1 package baby portabella mushrooms sliced optional.
